Summary of NSW Health Vaccination Standards

Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Hepatitis B Measles, Mumps, Rubella

One documented dose of adult diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis vaccine(dTpa Vaccine - Boostrix) within the last ten years.

Serology is not accepted.

Documented evidence of a completed, age appropriate, course of hepatitis B vaccine. If this is not available, then a Statutory Declaration stating that an appropriate course has been received.

and

Serology - Anti-HBs>10mlU/mL

Documented evidence of 2 doses of MMR vaccine at least one month apart;

or

Serology - positive IgG for measles, mumps and rubella.

or

No action required if born before 1966

Varicella (Chicken Pox) Tb Influenza

Documented evidence of 2 doses of Varicella vaccine at least one month apart;

or

Serology - positive IgG for Varicella.

All persons will need to complete a TB Assessment Form and produce results of any prior TB tests. Where an X-ray has been performed a copy of this report should be produced.

One dose of current seasonal influenza vaccine by June 1 each year.

Serology will not be accepted.
